Born in York, England, Joshua Thomson is an artist, musician and curator currently living and working in Hong Kong.

Using humour as a critical tool Joshua Thomson questions the role of the artist in wider society, paying attention to notions of “artistic genius”. His work explores the tension between truth and memory in the creation of personal histories and how these in turn inform received historical accounts.
